NER AUTOCROSS SERIES EVENT #2
SPONSORED BY
NER’s second autocross event of the 2024 Season was held on Sunday June 16th at Moore Airfield in Ayer sponsored by our friends at Porsche Norwell. We had 53 drivers for the event, a decent turnout considering it was Father’s Day.
Once again we had good Novice participation, representing 18 of the 53 drivers. At the end of the day, it was Adam Mazzariello posting a time of 70.504 and taking first place in the Porsche Novice Class driving a 2012 Cayman R – now he will have to move into Class 4 and compete directly against the car’s owner, his dad Jeremy. In the non-Porsche Novice Class, Alec Cedrone posted a time of 71.816 in his 2024 Accura Integra S to win that class and earn himself a ticket to the non-Porsche class at the next event.
Elsewhere, in the Air Cooled class, we saw Adam Small put up a 68.341 in his 1984 Carrera to take the top spot in Class 1. In Class 3, Chris Hubert was the winner posting a 65.949 in his 1999 Boxster, Class 4 saw Jeremy Mazzariello earn a first place with a 64.686, Class 5 had Jonathan Bond winning with a 64.478 in his 2018 Cayman GTS, Alan Davis won Class 6 in his 2015 GT3 with a 66.666, Matt Nieman in his 2023 Corvette won the non-Porsche SCCA street class with a Pax time of 56.112 (67.200 Raw Time) and Rob MacAlpine took first in the other non-Porsche class by posting a Pax time of 53.805 (62.564 Raw Time) which also put him at FTD overall for the day. FTD for the Porsche Classes went to Jonathan Bond, the Class 5 winner.
