Welcome to the homepage of our annual popular Car Control Clinic (formerly, autocross school)! A registration to the clinic includes a free registration to one of the five following regular season autocross events. Our Car Control Clinic is meant for the young, the old, the uncertain, or the confident. Our goal is to develop your skills behind the wheel, get you comfortable navigating an autocross course, and put you on your way toward the podium! The NER Car Control Clinic is a full day including: Ground school/chalk talk Slalom exercise Braking and cornering exercise Skidpad exercise Instructor rides on a course at speed Timed competitive autocross with an instructor Students, here's your chance to read ahead so you can be a star pupil. Take a look at this NER presentation of Performance Driving and Autocross Specific Fundamentals. Our friends at PCA National have also composed an excellent page covering autocross fundamentals PCA.org Autocross Defined. NER has also produced several autocross videos with additional episodes arriving in 2019. You would also profit by browsing the whole Autocross section on our website - see pictures and videos of autocross runs on Facebook, read the rules, etc. Go here to do that! Finally, here is a short documentary this is autocross-specific and offers a little more background. Note that our courses are not nearly as complicated (so don't be daunted), we don't allow kids in karts (sorry!) and we don't use a PAX system (go to our sister PCA region's events - NCR - if you want that).
