DESCRIPTION:\n\n\nThe Zone 1 48 Hours Driver Education at Watkins Glen bega
 n in 1975. Continue the tradition and join us for the 45th consecutive yea
 r on May 17-19\, 2019. Watkins Glen International is the continuation of a
  road racing tradition dating back to 1948\, when sports cars raced on the
  6.6 mile course through the village of Watkins Glen. The permanent road c
 ourse was built in 1956 and has remained the home of a great racing tradit
 ion for 55 years.\n\n	We will maximize track time by adding an extra hour 
 of track time on Friday and Saturday by keeping the track open until 5:30 
 pm for 26 hours of hot track throughout the weekend.\n	There will be expan
 ded passing in the Instructor Run Groups throughout the weekend.\n	PCA Nat
 ional Instructor Training will occur on Friday for those who qualify with 
 a referral from their region’s chief instructor.\n	Friday is still instr
 uctor day. However all drivers in the white (intermediate)\, black and red
  run groups will be accepted to drive on Friday. The intermediate group wi
 ll be given four driving sessions on Friday.\n	PCA Zone 1 will host a Satu
 rday evening cocktail hour and dinner.\n	Not only great driving\, great in
 structors and a great track\, but there’ll also be Zone 1 swag for all r
 egistrants who attend.\n\nDon’t miss the Friday evening track walk avail
 able to all registrants. Saturday and Sunday will be run in the traditiona
 l DE format with the track open until 5:30 PM on Saturday.\nWe will also a
 llow for early trailer drop off beginning Thursday evening from 6-8PM. The
 re will also be camping at the track from Thursday through Saturday for th
