New cars always seem to be touting their new technology almost more than their driving capabilities. That’s great if you’re into buying a rolling living room. But what about those of us who love to drive and want to actually enjoy (and pay attention to) driving? Is it getting harder to find a car that delivers? Well, it looks like the “safety” systems in new BMWs might even make it impossible to bring them on track. Road and Track takes a look at the issue.
It will be interesting to see if Porsche will find itself in a similar predicament with their systems. I’d like to think that they will judiciously avoid that fate. What do you think?
Update 4/12: BMW CCA says that they will not ban new BMWs. Looks like they might need to tell their chapters about this policy…
