Concours at The Elms

First of all we thank the Preservation Society of Newport County for their hospitality in allowing us to hold this years’ concours on the beautiful grounds of The Elms.
Secondly, thanks to our primary sponsor, Porsche of Warwick (check out their new car display on the field), and to the other generous sponsors, all of whom are listed in the Concours Directory that will be distributed at registration.
Please plan to arrive at The Elms between 8:30-9:00am, the address is 367 Bellevue Avenue, Newport R.I. Worker volunteers are asked to report to the registration table upon arrival.
This years’ entrance will be from Bellevue Ct., the cross street on the north side of The Elms. There will be signage at Bellevue Court directing entrants and spectators into the grounds.
Guides will provide directions around the perimeter of the site (past the beautiful trees and gardens at the far end of the field.) Parking for non-Porsches (no/charge) will be accessed thru the trees (signs and guides will be available for directions)cost is $20 unless you have signed up in advance to volunteer to help out.

Judging
There will be three judged groups in the concours; 1 Full judged class, 2. Top Only class, determined by ballots of participants and spectators, and 3 Display class which will be judged by the club President. Please make sure to pick up a Top Only ballot at the registration table and vote.
Registration
If you preregistered for the even give your name at the registration table and your packet will be given to you.
If not preregistered you will be given an entry form to be completed and returned to the table with payment.
Concours participants should place the completed placard on their windshield, if a Full concours entrant, all pages of the score sheets must be filled out with identification information and then placed on the dashboard.
Do NOT lock you car.
Concours participants will be directed to the proper parking place on the field. After parking, all loose items in the car should be removed and placed neatly behind your vehicle.
There will be no food available to purchase, however, free bottled water will be available at the registration table compliments of the Preservation Society.
No Alcoholic beverages are allowed on The Elms property.
After Concours Event
A club member has invited all participants to his marina located ½ hour from the concours site in Charlestown R.I. for a buffett.
We will serve chowder, clam cakes and beverages buffet style on the deck from 4:00-5:30PM (our treat).
Folks will also be able to order from the clam shacks’ menu if they’d prefer something else (at their cost).
